"Heating/Refrigeration/Air Conditioning (HRA) Lab Technician"

This position is responsible for the maintenance of the Welding labs for cleaning and organizing shop areas, as well as stocking supplies, tools, cutting material, and safety equipment.

Examples of Duties

1. Maintains Heating/Refrigeration/Air Conditioning (HRA) lab.
2. Cleans and organizes HRA equipment.
3. Prepares lab for classes (e.g., student stations, tools, equipment, supplies, cutting, etc.)
4. Assists with the development and revision of lab practices.
5. Assists faculty with the implementation of competency-based objectives and outcome measures for the HRA program and courses taught.
6. Maintains and reports appropriate lab records (e.g., inventory, PROE, etc.).
7. Maintains and requests updates for classroom/lab equipment and supplies.
8. Performs other duties as assigned by the HRA faculty.
9. Supports and serves as a role model for our mission, vision, strategic and service initiatives. Adheres to the organization's policies & procedures and compliance guidelines.
10. Per the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act),a federal consumer protection law, your job position entails functions that meet the definition of a Campus Security Authority (CSA). CSAs have a duty to report any crime to the College's Clery Compliance Officer. This information may be disclosed to them directly, through third-party, or witnessed. As a CSA, you are required to complete annual training which is provided by the College. This training encompasses your role, responsibilities, and reporting obligations.

Typical Qualifications

Education, Certification, Licensure:

• Industry experience and/or formal education preferred.

Experience:

• One-two years of work experience within the HVAC industry preferred.
• Experience with students preferred.
