HEETF Assistant (Higher Education Equipment Trust Fund)

vendors as the University’s liaison, facilitating the ordering, delivery, setup, payment, and reimbursements required by the HEETF program. Duties : 1. Chief liaison between University and the State Council of Higher Education in Virginia (SCHEV) for HEETF. 2. Primary contact for the campus for all HEETF activity. 3. Gathering equipment requests from the campus. 4. Working with the Procurement Office, place equipment orders related to HEETF in both Colleague and eVA. 5. Working with the Accounts Payable Office, ensuring that payments for good received are made on a timely basis. 6. Reconcile daily activity of HEETF over the four HEETF accounts. 7. Prepare workpapers to support reimbursement requests sent to SCHEV. Qualifications : 1. Minimum high school graduation. 2. B.S. degree in accounting or business management is desired. 3. Experience working with equipment purchases is desired. 4. Experience using MS ACCESS is desired. 5. Experience using MS Excel required. 6. Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and via telephone. 7. As needed prepare and deliver presentations to the campus Wage employees are paid an hourly rate for actual hours worked and are limited to working 1500 hours per year and can only work a maximum of 29 hours a week. Work hours must be counted on the basis of the twelve-month period beginning May 1 of each year and April 30 of the following year. Wage employees in all agencies (all branches of government) are limited to working no more than 1500 hours during each twelve-month period of May 1-April 30. Should you work 1500 hours prior to April 30, your services will be terminated immediately. You will not be eligible for employment again until May 1. It is the responsibility of the employee and supervisor, as well as the Office of Human Resources, to monitor these hours to ensure compliance to policy. Wage employees may not earn leave nor do they have access to the Grievance Procedure process.
