a full-time non-tenure track renewable contract instructor position in Human Nutrition to teach core classes in nutrition. The Department is one of five in the College of Human Environmental Sciences (CHES) at The University of Alabama. We offer an undergraduate degree in Food and Nutrition, a Graduate Coordinated Program in Dietetics, and a Didactic Program in Dietetics. Additionally, the Department offers a MS and PhD in Human Nutrition. Minimum Qualifications Qualifications: Applicants should have a strong background, training, and expertise in human nutrition or a closely related field. • MS in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely-related field from an accredited four-year college or university (required) • Registered Dietitian (required) • Must have completed at least 18 hours of graduate level nutrition courses. • Evidence of the ability to teach at the collegiate level. Responsibilities: Teaching and service to articulate the mission of the University including: • Teach courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels to support the nutrition programs as needed in one or more of the following areas: nutrition, leadership and management, entrepreneurship, and food service management. • Recruit, mentor, and advise students. • Serve on Department, College, and University committees. Preferred Qualifications • Foodservice management and/or clinical management experience desired. • The ideal candidate will bring both academic knowledge and practical experience to the classroom.
