History Instructor - Part-time Adjunct Pool

Kern Community College District is seeking applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors in History. The starting salary is $67.00 per hour, subject to the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula as per the CCA collective bargaining agreement.

Basic Function

Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. Applications remain active for up to two years and are used to contact qualified applicants when needs arise.

Representative Duties

This position is for a part-time adjunct pool.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's in history, or Bachelor's in history and Master's in political science, humanities, geography, area studies, women's studies, social science, or ethnic studies, or the equivalent. A demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students is required. Degrees must be from accredited institutions; foreign degrees require evaluation by a NACES or ACEI member.
