Cabrillo College is accepting applications for temporary, part-time faculty assignments to establish an eligibility pool for positions in the 2025 Fall/2026 Spring Semesters, including courses such as HORT1B Basic Horticulture: Crop Production, HORT11 Introduction to Agriculture Business, HORT12 Agriculture Economics, HORT38AG Computer Applications in Agriculture, HORT52 Greenhouse Design and Operation, HORT70 Organic Agriculture, and HORT71 Organic Food Production 1.
Salary: See Position Description. Starting Salary: $1,599 - $2,454 per teaching unit, per semester; salary placement determined by education and experience.

Examples of Duties: Teach assigned classes, which may include evening or off-campus assignments; engage in participatory governance; maintain records of student enrollment and progress; provide academic assistance; demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
Minimum Qualifications: Understanding of and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds AND specific qualifications for courses, such as a Master's in agriculture or related field, or equivalent experience and education.
Required Professional Expertise: Currency in the field, commitment to teaching strategies that enhance student success, effective communication skills, and ability to work with diverse populations.
Desired Qualifications: Successful teaching experience, innovative techniques, experience with diverse students, online teaching, and culturally-responsive pedagogy.
