Hosting MSCA PF 2026 – SEA-EU Alliance
Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher looking for a competitive research opportunity?
Do you want to be part of a truly European research environment?
Then why not join the unique collaborative research environment of the SEA-EU Alliance?
For the HORIZON-MSCA-2026-PF call, the universities of the SEA-EU Alliance are looking for exceptional researchers willing to apply for Horizon Europe’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF).
About Us
SEA-EU is one of the pioneers in the European Universities Initiative which started in 2019. We are an Alliance of nine European Coastal Universities (Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal and Spain) dedicated to the creation of a European Coastal Campus where all students and staff could experience Europe through a rich and diverse offer of activities and cooperation.
Together we aim to encourage the mobility of researchers and facilitate transnational collaborations across the Alliance. We offer an attractive research environment and a multifaceted network to provide the next generations of researchers with the widest scope of opportunities thus enabling them to develop their full potential.
Our vision is to establish a distinctly international, pluri-ethnic, multilingual, multicultural and interdisciplinary European University.
Eligibility Criteria
MSCA European Postdoctoral Fellowship grants are awarded for a duration of 12 to 24 months to researchers of any nationality who:
- have obtained a doctoral degree,
- have a maximum of 8 years full-time equivalent (FTE) of experience in research,
- comply with the MSCA mobility rule i.e., have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the respective European host country less than 12 months in the 36 months immediately prior the call deadline, and
- have identified a supervisor in a European country willing to host and support them.
If awarded, the Postdoctoral Fellowship grant covers salary, a mobility allowance and research costs, as well as overheads for the hosting institution.
Application Procedure
Candidates interested in applying for a MSCA-PF are asked to check the SEA-EU website to find more information about the application process at any of the nine SEA-EU universities.
If, as a postdoctoral researcher, you wish to get in touch with potential supervisors, then prepare your CV and a research project outline document (up to 2 pages) identifying the research synergies with a potential supervisor.
Service
If both you and the supervisor agree on a collaboration scheme, you will benefit from the potential supervisor’s support as well as that of the Research Support Service of the respective SEA-EU university to develop a competitive MSCA proposal.
