Hourly Pooled - Plant Sciences Research Aide, Forage Agronomy
JOB TITLE: Research Aide - Forage Agronomy
JOB PURPOSE: Assist with forage crop research in the Department of Plant Sciences. This position requires periodic day and overnight travel to and from research sites within the state throughout the summer season. All travel expenses will be paid by the employer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with field, greenhouse, and laboratory research activities related to forage agronomy.
- Assist with research plot management, including planting, plot maintenance, data collection, soil sampling, harvesting and weeding.
- Perform other related tasks assigned.
COMPETENCIES:
- Willingness to learn about forage crops.
- Willingness to collaborate.

- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work within safety regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- A good work ethic and strong communication skills are a must.
- Interest in forage crop production and agriculture.
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.
