Hourly Pooled - Shipping and Receiving Assistant, Shipping & Receiving
JOB PURPOSE: Assist Shipping & Receiving Department in terms of outgoing and incoming freight, packages, and mail
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist delivering and pick up of freight, packages, and mail on campus.
- Assist with preparing outgoing shipments.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS: Other warehouse duties as needed (sweeping, organizing, etc.)
COMPETENCIES:

- Safety conscious
- Comfortable with computer usage.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school degree or equivalent GED
- Able to lift 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Shipping & receiving experience
- Competent ability with verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in-person and over the phone
- Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping systems (creating labels for outgoing packages)
- Basic computer skills, including most Microsoft programs
- Ability to drive larger delivery vehicle in tight campus locations
