Job Summary
Our lab is interested in improving healthy aging with nutritional approaches using mice as a pre-clinical model for discovery. In particular, we are investigating the benefits of time-restricted feeding and calorie restriction in improving metabolic disease in a mouse model of diet-induced obesity. We are seeking a conscientious, detail-oriented, motivated and enthusiastic research assistant scientist to join our team. You will be provided with technical and scientific training on-the-job in a friendly and collaborative environment.
Project Duration: Up to 3 years, 10-15 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily care of animals.
- Assist lab personnel with the research procedures and techniques.
- Sample processing.
- Lab maintenance and support.

- Students majoring in a Medical or Biological Sciences related subject are preferred.
- Students must be willing to work with mice.

- The ability to work well as a team member with effective communication skills is essential.
