Location
Madingley Hall is part of the Institute of Continuing Education in the University of Cambridge, built in the 16th century, this elegant country house has 16 well-equipped meeting rooms, 62 ensuite bedrooms, a professional kitchen, licensed bar, coffee shop, Lodge House available as rentable short-stay accommodation and is set in 8-acres of grounds including superb Capability Brown designed gardens.
The Role
The housekeeping assistant(s) provide cleaning services within the on-site accommodation rooms provided at the Hall for visitors, delegates, etc. They are responsible for the return of rooms to the required standard of cleanliness and arrangement. Done well, this service provides accommodated guests with a sense of reassurance that the Hall is committed to their stay being pleasant and comfortable.
The housekeepers have no line management or budgetary responsibilities. They are provided with instruction on the standards expected. They are expected to report issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor and will normally not be expected to handle problems independently. They are responsible for an appropriate use of supplies and bringing equipment and supply issues to management.
This is a full-time position: variable on a rota basis 5 out of 7 days, including weekend, evenings and public holidays. The core hours will be between 8AM to 4PM.
