Job Summary
Works closely with business leaders to align Cleveland State Universities (CSU) people and organization strategy. Assesses and anticipates human resources-related needs. Assesses and anticipates human resources related needs, with a focus on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning. Develops and nurtures partnerships to bridge the divide between management and employees. Collaborates with colleagues in human resources to develop policies, programs and solutions. Analyzes data trends and metrics to inform decisions, mediates and resolves employee relation issues, and conducts thorough and objective investigations. Implements ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boosts productivity and retention. Ensures regulatory compliance with legal requirements pertinent to management of employees. Interprets human resources policies for faculty and staff. Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources, business management or related field required.
- Five (5) years of experience as an HR Generalist or three (3) years of experience as a HR consultant, HR manager or HR business partner. Experience should include, management consulting, management skill building, handling employee relations issues, including conducting investigations, interpreting, and applying labor laws and providing consultation to management on performance management, organization design and employee engagement matters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree and SHRM-CP/PHR preferred.
