HR Consultant

The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi

In this role, you will provide guidance to staff and line managers on a wide range of HR matters.  You will have a strong foundation of employment legislation and understand how these flow into HR processes. This is a busy role that requires a hands-on approach that provides solutions that support our staff to deliver "on our vision of Enriching lives and creating a better world through technology, learning and discovery.

  • Proven generalist HR experience. 
  • Ability to assess complex HR issues and provide practical solutions. 
  • Demonstrated experience working within large, complex organisations, navigating intricate structures, competing priorities, and diverse stakeholder needs to deliver effective HR solutions.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Proven ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels, effectively influence decision-making, and navigate complex challenges with strategic problem-solving and sound judgment. 
  • A commitment to AUT's values, including recognition of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its importance to the University's mission.
