Job Description
This position supports systemwide HR operations by accurately managing and maintaining employee data, records, and HR transactions within enterprise HR information systems. Operating within a centralized HR Service Center model, it ensures data integrity, monitors data quality, and provides technical guidance to campus HR partners. The role also ensures compliance with applicable policies, laws, and collective bargaining agreements while delivering timely, high-quality support to campus HR teams.
Only candidates residing in Minnesota or a state bordering Minnesota (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin) are eligible for telework.
Salary Range
$24.41 ($50,968) - $35.17 ($73,435)
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of experience in human resources, including processing HR, payroll, or benefits transactions in an HRIS or similar enterprise system with proven ability to accurately audit, validate, and resolve data discrepancies.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage high-volume transactional workloads, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Knowledge of HR business processes, including employment transactions, job and compensation changes, and employee record maintenance.
- Demonstrated customer service skills sufficient to provide clear, timely, and accurate information to campus partners through written and verbal communication.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to research transactional issues, evaluate impacts, and recommend solutions.
Preferred Qualification
- Human Resources experience working in the Minnesota State system.
- Experience with Workday HCM.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, bargaining unit agreements, and basic state or federal employment regulations.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and the ability to learn and operate multiple HRIS systems simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidential information in accordance with data privacy requirements, including sensitive labor relations information.
