Position Summary
The Human Resources and Faculty Affairs Operations Manager position performs professional-level work in human resources, faculty affairs, payroll, position management, and research administration for Grady College. The role serves as a college-level resource for faculty and staff hiring, position management, payroll coordination, grants administration, direct appointments, retire-rehire processes, teleworking arrangements, out-of-state work agreements, and related HR operations.

- Knowledge of HR, payroll, faculty affairs, position management, and grants administration processes.
- Ability to interpret and apply university policies and procedures accurately.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information, multiple priorities, and deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
Duties/Responsibilities
Human Resources, Payroll, and Faculty Affairs (65%)
- Performs human resources, payroll, and faculty affairs functions for staff, faculty, part-time instructors, and temporary employees.
- Manages HR position processes, including creating, modifying, posting, and evaluating staff and faculty positions.
- Supports recruitment, hiring documentation, employment paperwork, onboarding, and exiting processes.
Grants and Research Administration (25%)
- Supports faculty and principal investigators with proposal development, submission, award monitoring, and research administration processes.
Business Office Operations and College Support (10%)
- Supports college-level business operations, financial processes, reporting, and administrative projects.
