Human Resources Coordinator
General Summary
Eastern Michigan University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our dynamic Human Resources team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records, ensuring compliance with university policies and legal regulations.
- Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding processes, including posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
- Assist with benefits administration, answering employee inquiries, and providing guidance on available plans and enrollment procedures.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness across the university.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate training programs, performance evaluations, and employee development initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Google suite and familiarity with HR information systems.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
