To attain the maximum annual salary, employee must meet all minimum qualifications plus: 5 (five) years of additional applicable work experience and/or degrees higher than minimum qualification degree. Degrees higher than the minimum qualification degree can be used in combination with additional work experience. A combination of related education, on-the-job work experience, certifications and/or licenses that results in a candidate successfully meeting the minimum qualifications of the position, may be considered.
The stated salary amounts are not guaranteed in the event employment ends with Aims during any fiscal year.

Job Description:Aims Community College actively supports an environment that embraces the College's Mission, Vision, Values and a culture of innovation and care. The College embraces and seeks to hire individuals who want to be a part of this environment and have the skill sets necessary to be successful in this position.This position reports to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Employee Services and is part of the Human Resources Department. This position’s primary role is to manage the College’s disability accommodation process (ADAAA). The incumbent facilitates the full lifecycle of accommodation requests, including intake, the interactive process, and final documentation, while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including FMLA, Colorado FAMLI, and Workers’ Compensation.
In addition to disability management, this role provides administrative and technical support to HR departmental leads by assisting with report generation in Workday and maintaining classification and compensation records. This role supports data integrity across HR platforms and assists leads in updating job descriptions and market data in PayFactors.
This position requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality across all functions, including the handling of sensitive medical documentation, personnel records, and institutional data. The incumbent must consistently demonstrate professional discretion and adhere to privacy laws and College policies regarding the security of information.
ADAAA & Leave Coordination: 50%
- Case Management & Intake: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees requesting workplace accommodations; facilitate the initial intake interview to identify the nature of the request and the specific barriers to essential job functions.
- The Interactive Process: Lead the collaborative dialogue between the employee, their supervisor, and the AVP of Employee Services to explore reasonable accommodation options that do not pose an undue hardship to the College. Communicate with supervisors and, as needed, cabinet members.
- Medical Certification & Review: Manage the secure collection and analysis of medical documentation to verify the existence of a disability as defined by the ADA; ensure all medical information is kept strictly separate from personnel files.
- Compliance Integration: Conduct complex analysis to determine how an ADA request may overlap with FMLA eligibility, Colorado FAMLI leave entitlements, or active Workers’ Compensation claims to ensure the College meets all legal obligations simultaneously.
- Documentation: Draft formal decision documents and accommodation agreements that clearly outline the approved supports, duration, and expectations for both the employee and the department.
- File Maintenance: Establish and maintain secure, confidential medical files for all ADAAA requests. Ensure all records are kept up to date, current, and separated from general personnel files in accordance with legal requirements. Provide monthly status reports to AVP on accommodations in place.
Technical Support : 15%
- Support lead by assisting with data entry to ensure data integrity; and assist with business process testing.
Classification & Compensation Support: 15%
- Support the Compensation lead by updating job descriptions and maintaining classification data; assist with research for position reviews.
Administrative & Compliance Documentation: 15%
- Resource Management: Update and maintain the HR Specialist Resource Guide for accommodation and reporting procedures to ensure continuity of operations.
- Records Retention: Establish and maintain a systematic record retention program for sensitive medical and leave documentation in accordance with State and Federal laws.
- Committee Engagement: Participate in College committees or task forces as assigned by the Assistant Vice President of Employee Services, contributing HR expertise to institutional initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Support: Provide backup support to the HR team for high-volume periods, including assisting with general customer inquiries or special projects.
Other Duties as Assigned: 5%
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or another related field; plus, two (2) years in a full-support Human Resources department, with specific experience in ADAAA administration and HRIS reporting. Or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to facilitate the interactive process and draft formal decision documents.
- Ability to deliver difficult messages to employees and supervisors. With the direction of AVP and legal on specific complicated cases.
- Professionalism: Ability to perform in a professional manner and maintain a high level of accountability.
- Critical Thinking: Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret complex policy, procedure, and law.

Preferred Qualifications:
