Duties and Responsibilities

•Manage human resource processes for the National Office, including onboarding, offboarding, recruitment coordination, job postings, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, and supporting performance management and staff training and professional development initiatives.
•Maintain and update the Employee Handbook in consultation with the CLO, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws and organizational practices.
•Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives in alignment with NJCAA strategic priorities and organizational values.
•Assist the CLO with drafting, formatting, organizing, and maintaining NJCAA policies, bylaws, and governance documents.
•Maintain version control and proper documentation of all policy and bylaw updates, ensuring accurate record retention.
•Assist in preparing policy-related materials, summaries, and supporting documents for internal and external stakeholders.
•Support the CLO with government relations efforts, including tracking legislative or regulatory developments, preparing background materials, and assisting with communications as directed.
•Assist in organizing compliance and policy related materials, including meeting documentation, records, and supporting materials for leadership and committees.
•Help translate policies and bylaws into basic operational documents such as checklists, templates, and guidance materials under the direction of leadership.
•Maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee, organizational, and governance information.
•Perform other duties as assigned. Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred in human resources, business administration, public policy, or a related field.
1–3 years of professional experience drafting bylaws and policies required, with additional experience in human resources and business operations preferred.
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to format and organize professional documents.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and organized records.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro required.
Familiarity with Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration tools preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff, leadership, member colleges, and external stakeholders. Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability, sound judgment, and professionalism.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
