The Human Resources Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for employees, applicants, and visitors entering the Human Resources office. This position provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team, coordinates financial and procurement activities with the Business Office, and serves as a key HR operations resource through the administration of Workday transactions, reporting, and data management.
Job Functions
- Workday Administration and HR Operations: Process employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including hires, transfers, job changes, compensation changes, and separations. Generate standard and ad hoc Workday reports. Support testing, troubleshooting, training, and continuous improvement of Workday processes. Maintain personnel records and support audits and compliance activities.
- Front Office and Customer Service: Provides administrative support to the human resource team. Serves as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, applicants, and external partners entering the Human Resources office. Provides professional customer service and routes advance inquiries appropriately. Maintains data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Executive Administrative Support: Manage the Vice President of Human Resource's calendar, meetings, travel, and correspondence. Prepare meeting materials and maintain confidential records.
- Financial and Procurement Administration: Process purchase requisitions, invoices, procurement requests, and related documentation. Serve as liaison between Human Resources and the Business Office. Monitor and track departmental expenditures and purchasing activities.
- Other: Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and clerical or administrative experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience. Experience with HR / HCM systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in HR or a related field
- Five years of administrative, HR, business operations, or related experience.
- Work Day administration
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
