Job Description:

SUNY Schenectady invites applications for a full-time Human Services Instructor to join a collaborative, student-centered academic community. The successful candidate will teach a 15-credit course load per semester.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach undergraduate Human Services courses in a variety of formats, including in-person and online
Develop and deliver instruction that integrates foundational theory with applied practice
Foster an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes student success
Hold regular office hours and provide academic guidance to students
Participate in departmental and college service, including assessment and committee work
Engage in ongoing professional development related to teaching and the human services field

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field; Prior teaching or training experience; Professional experience in a human services-related field; Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience in a community college setting; Familiarity with OASAS guidelines and CASAC certification; Experience with online or technology-enhanced instruction; Relevant licensure or certification; Doctoral degree in a related field.
