It enables both critical and creative exploration of texts, visual media, and artistic practices within diverse historical and global contexts.
Key Facts
Research themes include post-colonialism, ethnic identities, gender and sexuality, youth cultures, and human rights, providing frameworks for examining cultural production and social structures. These areas encourage analysis of how narratives, identities, and artistic forms are shaped by social, political, and cultural dynamics.
Candidates are encouraged to apply with strong academic and research potential, with opportunities available through the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme.
