HVAC / Plumbing Mgr - HSC & EC Research Buildings

At Stony Brook Medicine, our HVAC/Plumbing Mgr- HSC& EC Research Buildings provides management oversight for the HSC& EC Research Building;

Duties of the HVAC / Plumbing Mgr - Health Science Center (HSC) & East Campus Research (EC) Buildings may include the following, but are not limited to:

• Review all employee evaluations and employee performance documentation.
• Effectively manage assigned staff and budgets of the HSC & EC Research Buildings department.
• Responsible for the daily operation of the HSC & EC Research Buildings department.
• Develop quality controls and improvements.
• Review and implement all Plant Operations Policies and Procedures.
• Responsible for the service and maintenance contracts for the HSC & EC Research Buildings department.
• Responsible for The Joint Commission (TJC) compliance for all assigned areas.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• An Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related technical field Technical Diploma and/or Certifications, and at least 5 years of progressively responsible management experience in HVAC / Plumbing systems, construction, maintenance.
  Or in lieu of an Associate's degree, at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in the management, maintenance, or oversight of structural systems, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience maintaining a large, complex facility.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is 110,000 - $120,000 / year.

The above salary range represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate's validated years of comparable experience. Any efforts to inflate or misrepresent experience are grounds for disqualification from the application process or termination of employment if hired.
