The Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a (Hybrid) Project Coordinator.
About the Opportunity
Provide logistical support for all activities of a multi-university mentoring network. Assist with mentee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding phases, help to organize training activities, monthly and annual meetings, budgets and funding, and assist in fulfilling grant reporting requirements.

What You'll Do
- Facilitate operations of the mentoring network including recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of mentees, coordinate training activities and monthly and annual meetings, assist with establishing budgets and funding allotment, and assist with grant reporting and fulfillment requirements.
- Facilitate creation and maintenance of a network website and other social media outlets.
- Assist in communications and respond to routine inquiries from mentees and mentors.
- Assist in preparation of publications and presentations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a STEM-related field. A minimum of one (1) year of experience that includes project management, accounting/budgeting, public outreach, and coordination of group activities. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered. All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to coordinate logistics of a dynamic and diverse research team.
- Experience using software applications of a university, funding agencies, and offices of sponsored programs.
- Experience with budgeting and accounting of sponsored projects.
- Experience with report writing.
- Ability to work across offices to complete tasks such as coordination of training opportunities, website design, and university communications.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to make decisions and work independently.
- Ability to plan for and meet deadlines and project goals.
- Demonstrated experience working with students or youth.
- Demonstrated experience working in a leadership role within a group.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a STEM-related field. Project Management Training or certification.
