"IMMUFELLOW Postdoctoral Researcher Positions (Researcher/Senior Researcher) – Up to 11 Positions: 2 at ÅAU and 9 at UTU"

The IMMUFELLOW programme is an innovative postdoctoral training initiative of the University of Turku (UTU) and Åbo Akademi University (ÅAU) in Turku, Finland, funded by the European Union’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) COFUND programme. It aims to train experts in immunology to address immune-related diseases such as infections, atherosclerosis, and cancer.

Up to 11 fixed-term three-year positions are available: 9 at UTU and 2 at ÅAU, starting from April/May 2026. The research must be immunology-related and align with the core strengths of UTU or ÅAU.

Job Description: Postdoctoral researchers will carry out an internationally excellent research project over three years, with dissemination of results. They will receive guidance from intersectoral mentoring teams and have autonomy in their research and career development. The programme integrates science, technology, and entrepreneurship, offering training beyond academia, including opportunities in corporate settings and education on regulatory standards.

Who We Are Looking For: Qualified, motivated individuals with a background in immunology research and an established record of excellence.

Qualification Requirements: Applicants must have a doctoral degree awarded no more than 10 years before the deadline (excluding career breaks), meet MSCA mobility rules (not resided in Finland for more than 12 months in the last 36 months), and demonstrate international engagement. They must propose an original research project within a UTU or ÅAU unit and provide a Letter of Support.
