We have an exciting opportunity for an Impact Officer to join our team.

Working across Research and Innovation, you will play a university-wide, pivotal role in offering a professional level of expertise, advice, and dedicated support to our academic community.

As Impact Officer, you will have the responsibility of maximising the impact of research across the University, ensuring that the benefits of our research, on people, society, the economy, and the environment are effectively demonstrated and communicated, both within the University and externally.

Working with the Impact and Culture Manager, you will take a lead and active approach in developing and maintaining positive relationships with researchers across our university, and support them in identifying impact arising from their research and ensuring evidence is captured and stored appropriately, including managing the collection, curation, and submission of evidence for the Research Excellence Framework (REF).

Educated to degree level or with an extensive track record of relevant work experience in a similar role and holding two A-levels or equivalent or higher, you will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and related software packages, have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, together with experience of working collaboratively across a large, complex organisation.

We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).

The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Employer, Stonewall Gold Award holder and Top 100 Employer, Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award holder.

Informal enquiries are welcome to Kirsty Taylor.
