Improving the fertilizers granulation process
Producing fertilizers with the required specification while minimizing the waste of the manufacturing process is challenging. This research aims to improve the current fertilizer production method by designing the products to achieve the required specifications such as strength, size and dissolution/disintegration time. A regime map will be produced based on the results that investigate the effect of critical process and formulation parameters on the critical quality attributes. The study will also cover investigating the effect of the binder used in the granulation process.
Such a regime map will be a useful tool to choose the right combination between process and formulation parameters which will improve the sustainability of the process and reduce the waste.
