Industrial Electrical Technology Part-Time Faculty Pool

Position Description

Chaffey College is seeking applicants for a teaching opportunity in Electricity. All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for electricity instructors. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview.

Availability to teach in person courses at Chino Technology Center. Classes could be mornings, afternoons, evenings or weekends and at the Chino, Fontana and/or Rancho Cucamonga Campuses.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Any Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience; OR
- Any Associate's degree and six years of professional experience; OR
- Possession of a valid Lifetime California Community College credential authorizing service as an instructor in Electricity; OR
- The equivalent (District equivalency form must be submitted at the time of application); AND
- Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.

MEETING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DOES NOT ASSURE THE CANDIDATE OF AN INTERVIEW. Applications will be evaluated taking into account the breadth and depth of relevant education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS- INET teaching experience. Electrical knowledge;
- A working knowledge of industrial electronics related to telecommunications;
- Field experience which includes industrial electrical/electronics, PLCs, computers, and telecommunications;
- Clear and easily understandable written and verbal communication skills that can meet the diversified educational levels of the students.
