The Department of Psychology is seeking to appoint an Industrial Fellow in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

They may be engaged in research projects with colleagues in the department.
The Industrial Fellow will actively promote the Department by establishing and maintaining memberships, links, and partnerships with NHS partners, academic, industry and professional communities. They will be expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the existing staff team, and to update and aid up-skilling of colleagues and students on developments in their subject area, particularly in relation to practice and professional requirements.
The post requires a Master’s degree, or equivalent professional qualifications and experience, in a relevant discipline area, as well as substantial recent professional experience in counselling and psychotherapy.
The person needs to be an effective, personable, and committed team player who is sympathetic and responsive to the needs of both school leavers and more mature, professional and international students.
Enthusiasm for your area(s) of expertise, passion for passing on practice and engendering a thirst for knowledge will mark out suitable candidates. Evidence of recognition within the industry or profession, including industry links, publications, development of new research initiatives and/or securing competitive research funding, will be important for the selection process.
