The Lyman Beecher Brooks Library at Norfolk State University is recruiting for an Information Technology Administrator (FA216). This position is responsible for implementing, developing, managing, and maintaining hardware, software, communication, and network technologies for the Library that support its mission and operations. This position reports to the Dean of Library Services and works in consultation and collaboration with the University’s Office of Information Technology (OIT).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative management of various information technology resources of the Library in consultation and collaboration with OIT.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Library Science.
- Demonstrated experience in information technology administration or support.
- A strong commitment to public service and customer service orientation.
- Demonstrated workplace leadership and project management experience.
- Ability to collaborate with others and work as a part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Library Science.
- Experience working in academic libraries or higher education institutions.
- Demonstrated experience administering a major integrated library system.
