Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology, counseling, social work, or related field and eligibility for appropriate licensure in North Carolina.
The successful candidate will be expected to obtain licensure in North Carolina within one year of start date and maintain licensure for the continuation of the appointment.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience providing mental health intakes.
2. Experience providing mental health crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning.
3. Experience in a university counseling center or working with college students.
Candidates should also be committed to a proactive student development perspective involving an active relationship with the campus community; demonstrate cultural awareness in their work; be team-oriented and collaborative with clients, colleagues, and university and community partners; and have broad generalist clinical skills in assessing and intervening with a wide range of disorders, concerns, and degrees of pathology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties of the position are focused on conducting initial consultations for students seeking mental health services and providing crisis/triage for daytime emergencies. Both roles include an initial assessment of presenting concerns, risk assessment and safety planning as needed, providing brief therapeutic or crisis intervention, and collaborative planning to connect students with an array of services in the Counseling Center, resources on campus, and/or with providers in the community. There will also be opportunity for a small caseload of short-term individual or group therapy depending on skillset and time of the academic year.
Additional duties include:
- case management as needed;
- consultation;
- outreach and psychoeducational workshops;
- liaison/consultant relationships with university partners;
- clinical supervision and training;
- and rotating after hours on call responsibilities as a back-up to ProtoCall.
Work Schedule/Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.
Suggested Salary Range: $65,000
