Job Description
The Instructional Designer position for the Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) College of Veterinary Medicine at Orange Park (OPCVM) is responsible for the design, implementation, and development of instructional technologies and assessment tools
Required Qualifications
Associates Degree or equivalent in related field Proficiency with technology and computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of statistics and educational research methods Knowledge of university program goals and objectives Familiarity with veterinary education and TBL (Team-Based Learning) Experience with Allele and Canvas

Job Duties
- Provide technology support in one-on-one or group settings to enhance teaching and learning through the use of technology
- Provide technology support for all online and in-person courses
- Troubleshoot basic computer issues and testing software issues for students prior to and during exams
- Identify and organize web and multimedia resources for faculty, staff, students, and others.
- Research, write, and produce clear documentation and other instructional materials (websites, reference guides)
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct faculty training programs, workshops, and seminars on instructional technologies and methodologies (coordinate with Information Systems where appropriate).
- Research new technologies (software/hardware) that can be used to improve teaching/learning outcomes
- Identify new uses of technologies for teaching/learning purposes
- Work with faculty to ensure that best academic practices are followed.
- Provide instruction on how to use instructional materials effectively.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with course directors, faculty, designated proctors, and Information Services support in preparation for exam day
- Gather questions from faculty and edit for grammar, structure, content, and layout
- Format, import, categorize, add images, build and post exams in testing software
- Monitor the administration of exams, serving as proctor as needed
- Ensure security, confidentiality, and quality control of all prepared exams
- Download and format score spreadsheets and statistical data for each designated exam
- Modify score spreadsheets according to course director requests and in compliance with syllabi language
- Enter all exam and assessment scores into learning management system grade center
- Build, post, schedule, and administer makeup exams for absent students
- Build, post, and format results for End of Course Surveys each semester.
- Provide reports to the faculty, deans, and student progress committee as requested
- Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students.
- Participate on university committees
- Complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites
- Work with student services to accurately account for student lists and courses
- Update curriculum map with changes as reported by faculty
