Instructional Design Coordinator (Remote, Part-Time)
Position Purpose
The Instructional Design Coordinator will help the Online Operations team to create and maintain high-quality courses for all learning environments in a higher education setting. The Instructional Design Coordinator will be resilient and work optimally in a fast-paced environment. They will become familiar with instructional design theories, adult learning theory, and effective assessment practices. Initiative, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication are essential. The Instructional Design Coordinator will analyze situations and work closely with the Online Operations team to implement effective solutions. This role will build and maintain online technology-based academic content in flexible modalities.
Essential Duties Summary
- Build and maintain courses in Canvas LMS according to NEC quality standards.
- Communicate with Online Operations team to provide updates on course build and maintenance progress.
- Store required instructional and course material in the eDesign SharePoint.
- Provide task-based assistance with completion of departmental projects.
- Adhere to project plan milestones and deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education/Licensure
- Bachelor's degree required.
Experience
- 1-3 years of relevant administrative/project management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and take initiative.
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to efficiently multitask and prioritize.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work without direct supervision as well as in team environments.
