Instructional Design Specialist 2
The College of Public Health seeks an Instructional Designer - Digital Accessibility Project Specialist, for a one-year term, to lead efforts ensuring compliance with the Department of Justice’s revised Title II regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Effective April 24, 2026, these regulations require that all digital content—including web pages and mobile applications—meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Levels A and AA.
This position serves as the primary point of contact for faculty, staff, and students who create or publish digital academic content. The coordinator will lead a team of student assistants and collaborate with stakeholders to review, convert, and remediate instructional materials to ensure accessibility compliance. The role also functions as an in-house Ohio State Web Accessibility Certified Tester (W-CAT), performing digital accessibility evaluations and providing expert consultation.
This is a one year term position
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of relevant experience required
Pay range: $55,700 - $72,700
Salary offer will be determined from candidate education and experience, and internal equity.
