Job Description
As an Instructional Designer with the University of Florida Human Resources, you won't just create courses; you'll influence how a top-tier university learns, adapts, and performs. YOU WILL:
- Design and develop engaging, scalable learning experiences across multiple modalities
- Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to translate business needs into learning strategies
- Create high-quality digital content including eLearning, instructor-led materials, job aids, and multimedia assets
- Apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to drive measurable outcomes
- Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously improve based on data and feedback
Learning Strategy & Design
- Conduct needs assessments to identify performance gaps and recommend learning solutions
- Design visually compelling, learner-centered content that enhances engagement and retention
- Develop end-to-end learning experiences using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and multimedia platforms
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and measurable business outcomes
Project & Program Management
- Lead & manage multiple projects simultaneously, managing timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables
- Support implementation of system-wide learning initiatives and programs
- Develop rapid, high-quality content in fast-paced environments
Collaboration & Consultation
- Partner with leaders, HR teams, and SMEs to co-create impactful learning solutions
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops for faculty and staff
- Translate complex processes into clear, actionable learning experiences
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with emerging trends in instructional design and workplace learning
- Engage leading technologies and approaches to enhance learning effectiveness
- Evaluate learning impact and refine programs to maximize ROI
