Responsibilities
Instructional Design (65%)
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to:
- Update existing training solutions
- Create new training solutions
- Enhance just-in-time training materials (knowledge base articles, just-in-time training gif reference list, etc.)
Apply established systematic instructional design theories and models (ADDIE, backward design, Dick & Carey) to training solutions and products including but not limited to:
- Write measurable instructional outcomes & objectives
- Align assessments and instructional content with outcomes and objectives
- Author learning experience content in collaboration with SME
- Lead iterative process to integrate feedback
- Prepare training solutions for deployment (i.e. video post-production, image editing, Universal Design for Learning, etc.)
Align training facilitator with identified design and deployment strategy
Serve as a project manager for training solution development. Establish deadlines for project completion. Document progression of assigned tasks for review by leadership, collaborators, and others
Identify areas for improvement in existing training products, recommends solutions to improve effectiveness, and employs strategies to integrate recommended changes
Maintain professional Instructional Design competencies, trends, and tools
Performance of other tasks as assigned by the Director of Talent Enhancement
Training Coordinator (30%)
Deliver CRM new user onboarding training and, in collaboration with University Advancement's Information Services team, coordinate and/or grant CRM access
Facilitate ongoing CRM training and other training solutions as needed
Coordinates and facilitates full spectrum of training implementation: training calendar (event and facilities), attendance tracking, implementing evaluations, etc.
Coordinates and facilitates marketing efforts and products to promote training opportunities (intranet resources, participant recruitment, and registration tools) in collaboration with Talent Enhancement team members
Communicate CRM updates and training opportunities to university development staff as identified by Information Services and Talent Enhancement leadership
Conduct annual training reviews with University Advancement leadership and/or SMEs to assist in ensuring training assignments are accurate for each group:
- Assess compliance status
- Assign compliance specific training solutions
- Communicate compliance status and requirements
- Deactivate accounts based on compliance status
Implement non-CRM new employee onboarding tasks in coordination and collaboration with other departments
- Enroll new and existing employees in professional development memberships
- Assemble and deliver onboarding SWAG to hiring managers
- Facilitate new employee orientation
- Coordinate new hire confidant/buddy relationship in close collaboration with Administration team
- Schedule new employee cohort participants and content sessions
- Schedule and coordinate new employee experience check points
Other Duties (5%)
Performance of other tasks as assigned by the Director of Talent Enhancement
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related area plus two years of training experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Supervisory, project management and training development skills required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required. This position is not responsible for providing patient care. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the job's essential functions as outlined in the position description.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related area is preferred.
- MS degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education or related degree.
- 3 years related experience
