Key Job Responsibilities:
- Advises and supports groups working on program-level curricular design and development by facilitating the work, and by contributing expertise in pedagogy/andragogy, instructional design, and learning technology. May also contribute subject matter expertise.
- Collects, organizes, interprets, and disseminates data related to instructional program needs and faculty development programs
- Designs, develops, and delivers faculty development and engagement programs and activities (e.g., Canvas-based courses, communities of practice, and grant programs related to faculty development, teaching and learning strategies, instructional modalities or contemporary issues, such as artificial intelligence)
- Works as part of a team to identify and implement interventions to promote the use of evidence-based pedagogies across instructional modalities
- Infuses principles of equity, inclusion, and universal design into faculty professional development opportunities and engagement programs and activities
- As time and opportunity allow, participates in SoTL or program evaluation research
- Collects, organizes, interprets, and disseminates data to identify instructional program needs and enhance effectiveness

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree at time of application
- At least one year of experience in higher education
- Education and/or experience that has led to a strong understanding of the principles and practice of instructional design, along with pedagogy and/or andragogy
- Experience with and/or knowledge of artificial intelligence and its potential impact on and integration within education (e.g., on teachers, learners, the curriculum)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s, Ph.D., or post-graduate certificate
- Advanced degree/certificate is in a relevant field (e.g., instructional design or a core discipline offered at UW-Green Bay)
- Two or more years of experience working in a higher education setting
- Knowledge of current best practices in distance education and/or experience teaching in a distance education modality
- Experience with Canvas
- Ability to discuss and apply equity-minded and inclusive pedagogies and design principles
- Capacity to work effectively with educators from a variety of disciplines
- Experience with a range of learning technologies
- Knowledge of digital accessibility and its application to learning materials
- Ability to support web or blog development/design
- Knowledge of or experience with the scholarship of teaching and learning
Conditions of Appointment:
This position may have the option to work on-campus or a hybrid schedule, subject to approved telecommuting request
The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to travel to or work at the Marinette, Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs.
Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment.
