"Instructional Faculty, Registered Nursing"

Clark State College is seeking candidates for full-time, 9-month instructional faculty positions in the Associate Degree Registered Nursing Program. Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Nursing, a minimum of two years recent clinical experience, and current unrestricted licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio. The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach with active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning and promote diversity and inclusion. Primary duties include on-ground and online classroom teaching and participation in college-wide initiatives.

Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, ability to work in teams, and flexibility to teach day, evening, or Saturday hours at the College’s campuses in Springfield and Beavercreek, OH. The position reports to the Dean of the School of Health, Human, and Public Services and will remain open until filled.

Major responsibilities include:

• Teaching/Learning: Demonstrate knowledge in subject area, use instructional technology, design effective courses, accommodate diverse learning styles, develop syllabi, deliver content, assess student learning, provide feedback, meet classes, offer office hours, maintain professional relationships, and provide academic advising.
• Professional Growth: Engage in formal and informal activities to increase knowledge and enhance teaching abilities.
• Service to the College and Community: Participate in institutional meetings, accreditation, curriculum development, program assessment, committee service, teach at various times and locations, engage in student/community activities, assist in program articulation, and maintain collegial relationships.

Physical demands include standing, sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, hearing, walking, occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds, and specific vision abilities.
