Graduates may take positions as faculty at colleges and universities, direct other instructional designers in private or public institutions, or work as an individual consultant.

Features

The Instructional Psychology and Technology doctoral program at Brigham Young University is designed for full-time study.
All PhD students will be required to complete the equivalent of 15 credits per year to remain enrolled in the program (prior to completing non-dissertation coursework).

MS degree in IP&T or related field – if your MS is in a related field, please provide a description of how it relates.
Design or Curriculum Development Portfolio.
Your portfolio should be submitted as a PDF or link to external website, maximum of 10 pages, including examples of design artifacts, each accompanied by a paragraph that explains (a) your objective and (b) your process for creating it. You may also include any other relevant work and microcredentials or certifications.
Writing Sample – Please submit an excerpt of your strongest academic writing up to 10 pages that clearly shows your academic writing ability and skill.
