Job Summary:
Reporting to the Divisional Dean, the Instructional Television Specialist is responsible for daily broadcasting of Video Support Service’s (VSS) programming, on-air logs, automation system programming, character generation and student assistants.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Monitors the Video Support Service’s on-air signal, on air switching of programs and to insure the accuracy of daily on-air logs
- Trains and supervises student workers
- Updates the character generator on a daily basis
- Programs of automation system for unattended delivery operations
- Duplicates mass ITV audio and video instructional programming
Service Excellence
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the Divisional Dean

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or 60 college hours in media, radio-television-film, or communications
- One (1) year’s working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least one (1) year’s working experience with Satellite or cable distribution
- At least one (1) year’s working experience in a professional video, film, or audio production environment
- At least one (1) year’s working experience with professional video cameras and television studio equipment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Video Support Services’ operations, VCR's, switchers, cameras, and general studio experience
- Knowledge of industry-standard media production software, e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
- Skilled using computer applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
