Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Must have an
Associates' degree (AAAS/AA) or higher in Anesthesia
Technology.
Occupational Experience:
Must have a minimum of three
(3) years of full-time or equivalent (6,000 hours) experience as an
Anesthesia Technologist.
In addition, one of the following must be met:
- At least one (1) year of work experience must have occurred
within the last five (5) years. -OR-
- Two (2) years of teaching Anesthesia Technology course work at
the post-secondary level within the last five years.
N OTE: One year of teaching experience equivalent to
two (2) semesters full-time of four (4) semesters part
time.
Industry or vendor certification:
Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer. A.T.T.) certification from
the American Society of Anesthesia Technologist (ASATT) must be
obtained with one year of hire.
Additional Skills and Abilities:
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- Experience in teaching and/or developing curriculum in a
variety of classroom environments including in-person and
online.
- Experience using a variety of instructional methods including:
face-to-face, blended, and 100% online preferred.
- Must be able to develop and maintain curriculum currency.
- Working knowledge of computers and software related to
instructional area including MS Office/Google Suite, data systems,
mobile technologies, web conference tools, and social networking;
and knowledge of, or willing to learn, Blackboard or similar
learning management system (LMS) preferred.
- Knowledge or experience with engaged and service learning
strongly required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively through both oral and
written means.
- Must have knowledge of assessment of student academic
competency attainment.
- Must be able to relate successfully with students and staff of
diverse cultural, social and educational backgrounds.

instructional delivery systems including SMART symposium,
interactive touch screen monitors, LCD projectors, DVD players
and/or other classroom technology.
- Emerging Technologies - Experience with emerging technologies
(e.g. social networking applications).
Healthcare Pathway Pre-employment Requirements:
Must satisfactorily complete health screen requirements for the
Healthcare Pathway, which include a criminal background check, drug
test, and verification of immunizations.
Supplemental Information
Start Date: This position supports the Healthcare Pathway
and is available to start in fall 2026 semester - August 10,
2026.
Hours: This is a part-time faculty pool position. This is an
"applicant pool" posting. Assignments are temporary, not
guaranteed, can vary in hours/days, and will depend entirely on
course availability and department needs each semester. All work
must be performed in the state of Wisconsin. We are seeking
candidates with flexibility to teach assignments to include any
combination of the following:
- Instructional Modality: In-person
- Teaching Times: Daytime, evening, and/or weekend
classes
Salary: The starting hourly wage for all part-time faculty
is $40 per course hour of teaching. Part-time faculty are also
compensated for an additional 45 minutes of time for each hour of
instruction to cover office hours and prep time which is equivalent
to $70 per hour. This starting hourly wage of $40 an hour is
non-negotiable.
