Instructor/Assistant Professor at CUMC

Full-time positions are available for MD’s in an Inpatient setting within the psychiatry service at the Assistant Professor or Instructor level. This role will be responsible for direct patient care, act as a team leader, and may be involved in teaching psychiatry residents, medical students, clinical fellows and nurse practitioners. The candidate will be working on a full-time capacity on the inpatient psychiatric service at Milstein Hospital under the supervision of the unit chief. Opportunities for professional development in an academic medical center. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not essential. Must have NYS license and DEA certificate.

This role includes opportunities for additional compensation aligned with the department's comprehensive compensation plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD/DO Degree
  • NYS License
  • DEA Certificate
  • Assistant professor requires board certification in psychiatry and 2-3 years post-residency clinical experience. Instructor level requires graduation from a psychiatric residency program.
