Instructor – Computer Science and Mathematics

Applications are being accepted for the following vacancies for the Fall 2026 semester on the Faculty staff of Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, New York.

Department: STEM/Computer Sciences and Mathematics

Instructor – Computer Science and Mathematics HV-FAC-8930
Full-Time Probationary

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s or higher degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Specialization in Cybersecurity or a related field is desirable. The successful candidate will have industry experience, as well as experience teaching cybersecurity, computer science, and mathematics courses at the post-secondary level. Courses may include computer basics, programming, cyber defense best practices, industry standards, ethical hacking, network security, computer ethics, college algebra and calculus. In addition, experience with robotics, including industrial robotics, or Artificial Intelligence, is a plus. Demonstrated teaching expertise. Daytime, in-person availability required. Reliable transportation required.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Instructor will report to the Department Chair for Computer Science and Mathematics and perform the following duties:

  • Provide classroom and on-line instruction in Computer Science and/or Mathematics courses within the department.
  • Evaluate student performance.
  • Participation in departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community
  • Professional development is encouraged and supported.
  • At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.

The Salary for the Fall 2026 academic year position is $53,000.00.
