Position Summary
Responsible for teaching basic undergraduate courses in economics. Will teach 12 credit hours per semester. Service as befitting an individual at the level of instructor.
Detailed Position Information
The Department of Economics, Finance and Legal Studies at The University of Alabama invites applications for one full-time, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of instructor beginning August 16, 2026, in Economics. Responsibilities will include performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University and teaching undergraduate (some large) lecture sections of principles and upper-level economics courses.
This is a non-tenure earning position, renewable for three-year periods at the discretion of the University with no expectation of continued employment beyond any three-year contract period. Salary is competitive.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in economics, finance or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience teaching large lecture sections is preferred.
