The College of Arts & Sciences at Dakota State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, term, Instructor of English. The start date of this position is Fall 2026.
Required Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in English or relevant discipline.
- Effective written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
- Evidence of effective teaching.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Desired Qualifications: Experience teaching:
- Multimodal composition (audio, video, web, social media, infographics).
- Digital, visual, and/or sonic rhetoric.
- Social media campaigns, podcasts, digital storytelling, or video essays.
- Technical, professional, science, and/or grant writing.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be expected to teach a variety of English courses, both face-to-face and on-line, at the undergraduate level (including general education courses).
- The candidate will be expected to create engaging online content for online courses, which should include videos and appropriate assessments.
