The College of Arts & Sciences at Dakota State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, term, Instructor of English. The start date of this position is Fall 2026.

Required Qualifications:

• A master’s degree in English or relevant discipline.
• Effective written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Evidence of effective teaching.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Desired Qualifications: Experience teaching:

• Multimodal composition (audio, video, web, social media, infographics).
• Digital, visual, and/or sonic rhetoric.
• Social media campaigns, podcasts, digital storytelling, or video essays.
• Technical, professional, science, and/or grant writing.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate will be expected to teach a variety of English courses, both face-to-face and on-line, at the undergraduate level (including general education courses).
• The candidate will be expected to create engaging online content for online courses, which should include videos and appropriate assessments.
