ANNOUNCEMENT OF A COMPETITION FOR THE POSITION OF
INSTRUCTOR (F/M) - SURVEYING AND CARTOGRAPHY
at the Bronisław Markiewicz State Academy of Applied Sciences in Jarosław
I hereby announce a competition for the position of instructor (F/M) in the teaching staff group, on a full-time basis, at the Bronisław Markiewicz State Academy of Applied Sciences in Jarosław. The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements set out in the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Dz.U. [Journal of Laws] of 2024, item 1571, as amended).
Position description / scope of duties
- teaching classes in the Surveying and Cartography degree programme,
- preparing and updating teaching materials,
- developing students' practical skills using modern methods, technologies, surveying instruments and software used in surveying and cartography,
- participating in organisational activities related to the delivery of the teaching process in the Surveying and Cartography degree programme,
- continuous improvement of professional and teaching competencies.
1. Qualification requirements
- holding the professional title of Master of Science in Engineering (MSc Eng.) in Surveying and Cartography, specialising in Engineering and Industrial Surveying,
- having documented professional experience in the surveying industry or in surveying and cartographic administration,
- having knowledge and competencies in the field of engineering and industrial surveying and measurements related to the assessment of displacements and deformations of structures,
- very good knowledge of modern electronic surveying techniques and the principles of operation, handling and practical application of surveying instruments,
- having the knowledge, qualifications and professional competencies required to teach practical classes in Surveying and Cartography,
- good command of spoken and written Polish, sufficient to conduct classes,
- meeting the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science.
Additional advantages are:
- teaching experience as an academic teacher or a teacher in upper secondary education,
- experience in conducting practical, laboratory or field classes,
- experience in participating in mobility programmes under Erasmus+,
- holding professional qualifications in the field of surveying and cartography.

- consent clause for position applicants
- documents confirming professional experience and professional qualifications,
- copies of documents confirming professional qualifications – if the candidate holds any,
- declaration made by the candidate that the Bronisław Markiewicz State Academy of Applied Sciences in Jaroslaw will be the primary place of work in the event of winning the competition,
- declaration of availability,
- declaration confirming that the applicant has read the Regulations on Reporting Breaches of Law and the Protection of Persons Reporting Breaches of Law,

Foreign language documents submitted to the competition must be translated into Polish by a sworn translator. In the event of obtaining a professional title outside Poland, a document confirming the equivalence of the obtained title with its Polish equivalent shall be attached (if the issuance of such a document is provided for by the applicable legal regulations). Good knowledge of Polish is required.
Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The Academy reserves the right to cancel the competition procedure at any stage without giving any reason. The outcome of the competition, which will be announced by 30 September 2026, does not constitute the establishment of an employment relationship with Bronisław Markiewicz State Academy of Applied Sciences in Jarosław in Jarosław. The final decision shall be made by the Rector Magnificus.
Failure to inform the candidate(s) of the results of the competition will be tantamount to rejection of their offer. The person selected through the competition procedure for employment, who will be entrusted with tasks related to activities covered by the protection of minors, shall be required to submit a certificate of no criminal record issued by the National Criminal Register (KRK).
