The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Active PA medical license and ABPN eligibility or certification are also required.

Responsibilities may include providing psychiatric care in a community setting; participating in seminar series and supervision; completing policy, quality, and/or administrative projects; engaging and consulting with local administrative and policy partners; teaching at all levels of medical education; and other duties as assigned.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to gain subspecialty experience in community psychiatry; develop leadership, quality improvement, and teaching skills; gain policy and administrative experience through close relationships with city and community partners; engage in scholarly pursuits and attend conferences; and benefit from mentorship and networking opportunities.
