The Medical College of Georgia (MCG), Department of Surgery at Augusta University (AU) is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Instructor level in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS). The selected candidate will provide clinical care to patients in minimally invasive, bariatric, and general surgery. This position is limited to one fiscal year. This position is not considered to be on tenure track.
Responsibilities
- Develop clinical practice in the field of MIS and Bariatric Surgery.
- Increase clinic visits and increase surgical volumes related to MIS and Bariatric Surgery.
- Participate in the call schedule with the Divisions of MIS and Surgical Oncology.
- Teach and educate surgery residents about MIS and Bariatric Surgery.
Required Qualifications
MD, DO or equivalent degree. Board-certified in General Surgery. Board eligible for the American Board of Surgery. 5 years of general surgery residency.
