About this opportunity

The School of Art at Ball State University invites applications for part-time instructors to teach a variety of art history courses, including AHS 101 Art in a Globalized World: Art History before 1500 CE, AHS 102 Art in a Globalized World: Art History after 1500 CE, and upper-level courses in the candidate's area of expertise. Successful candidates may be hired to teach between one and three sections and we offer both online and in-person modalities.

Course development support and pedagogical mentoring will be offered. All instructors are expected to communicate regularly with students, provide meaningful and timely assessments, post course information on Canvas, and submit grades and other reports on time.

Description

Instructors of Art History will teach undergraduate courses in Art History, including AHS 101, AHS 102, and/or other courses in the candidate's area of expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities

Teach between 1 and 3 undergraduate art history courses.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in art history or a related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
• One semester of teaching experience at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in art history or a related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
• One year of teaching experience at the college level.
