Course development support and pedagogical mentoring will be offered. All instructors are expected to communicate regularly with students, provide meaningful and timely assessments, post course information on Canvas, and submit grades and other reports on time.
The School of Art has over forty full-time faculty and staff and offers state-of-the-art facilities serving more than 700 undergraduate majors. Programs at the BA, BS, and BFA levels include art education, art history, graphic design, animation production, illustration, game art/design, visual effects, and a studio art program that includes drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, glass, metals + jewelry, sculpture, photography, and video and new media. School of Art students enjoy world-class facilities, with over 73,000 square feet of classroom, gallery, and studio space in the Art and Journalism Building, Applied Technology Building, and the Marilyn K. Instructors of Art History will teach undergraduate courses in Art History, including AHS 101, AHS 102, and/or other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach between 1 and 3 undergraduate art history courses.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in art history or a related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
- One semester of teaching experience at the college level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in art history or a related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
- One year of teaching experience at the college level.
