Instructor, Public Safety & Human Services Tenure Track- Fall 2026
Position Summary
- The selected individual is required to teach in person, on multiple days, at our main campuses, learning or satellite centers during the morning, afternoon and evening.
- Develop course syllabi and materials.
- Evaluate mastery of student, program, and institutional learning outcomes. Participate in the development of formative and summative assessments and assessment instruments.
- Maintain office hours to provide student advisement, participate in recruitment activities, and program/curriculum development.
- Participate in School, Department, and Program meetings and activities.
- Other duties as assigned by Chair for needs of the office, division, and institution.
Required Qualifications
- A master's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Administration of Justice from an accredited college/university.
- Five (5) years of full-time practitioner experience in the criminal justice profession.
- Practitioner experience within the last eight (8) years.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of two years' full-time teaching experience at the college level in the criminal justice discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in developing curriculum, assessment plans, formative and summative assessments, assessment instruments, and conducting analysis of course and program assessment.
- Practitioner experience within the last five (5) years.
