Intake and Training Specialist
The Office of Civil Rights Compliance at the University of Southern California (USC) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Intake and Training Specialist to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment addressing civil rights matters in higher education.
In this role, the specialist will work with Deputy Coordinators for Intake, Outreach, and Support to ensure prompt, compassionate responses to reports. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting timely intake and initial assessment meetings.
- Providing clear communication and documentation of reports.
- Supporting care managers by connecting individuals to resources.
- Assisting in developing and delivering civil rights compliance training programs.
- Managing training requests and maintaining records.
- Representing the Office in community meetings.
Key responsibilities also involve preparing recommendations, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaborating with university stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with students, faculty, and staff in higher education.
- Experience with case management software.
- Knowledge of best practices in higher education compliance for addressing discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in case management in fields like public health, social work, or related areas.
- Deep knowledge of civil rights laws and policies in higher education and employment.
- Experience with issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and harassment.
- Ability to organize tasks in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.
The budgeted salary range is $99,756.32 - $120,000.00.
